1st Ever Giveaway !!! Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker

I am doing my FIRST EVER blog giveaway, I am so excited to be able to give to one lucky winner - The Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker by Jakks Pacific. More than $35 worth of products.

The winner will recieve, not only the maker, but also 4 packs of cupcake refills, so you can try all the different flavors of cupcakes. You will recieve your cupcake maker just in time to make your little girl so happy for the holidays!

I experienced the cupcake maker for the first time with my 2 sons (ages 11 and 9) and my little girl who is 3. We had a blast ! It is so quick and easy to do. The kids were eating their own cupcakes within minutes ! It does get a little messy (especially with a 3 yr. old) but well worth all the fun and spending the time together.

If you would like to win my very fist giveaway, follow these steps, and you will be entered to win.

You may do one or all, but you MUST complete step #1 before doing any bonus entries.

#1 - for your first entry, comment on this blog your favorite thing(s) to bake.

#2- for a second chance to win, subscribe to my blog as a follower

#3 - for 3 bonus chances to win, post your favorite baking recipe for the holidays

#4 - follow me on twitter for 2 more chances to win, just click on sidebar of my blog where you see the twitter symbol (it is a bird with a rainbow)

#5 - for 2 more chances to win tweet about the contest on twitter and use #cupcakes

Please make sure I have your email address so I can contact you if you win. Contest ENDS midnight on November 29th.

Winner will be selected on November 30, 2008.

GOOD LUCK and Thank you for entering my first ever giveaway !

My favorite thing to bake is a devil's food chocolate cake, two layers, with mocha frosting. And maybe some shaved pieces of dark chocolate sprinkled on the top. ;)

I love baking all kinds of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pies. My favorite cookies are oatmeal butterscotch! The recipe is on the back of the butterscotch chips bag and I've been baking and loving those since elementary school!

Since my son doesn't care for dairy products my chocolate chip cookies, cakes and other goodies are out the door. However my most recent baking delight is with dairy free Duncan Hines. So Rich. So Moist. So Very Duncan Hines.

I am a new follower of yours on Twitter so with luck my poor timing pre-existing following will still count. I am @bloggingmothers

My favorite thing to bake is pie-crust cinnamon rolls- easy and so yummy! Thanks!
lindleyalston at gmail dot com

Lindley said...

Here's the pie-crust rolls recipe:

1 recipe of pie crust (or use pre-made crusts)
butter (about 1/2 cup softened)
Sugar and cinnamon to taste

Roll out all of pie crust dough into large rectangle. Make sure dough is rolled out fairly thin. Spread with liberal amounts of butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon to suit your own taste. Roll up as you would for cinnamon rolls and slice. Place on a cookie sheet. bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. Do not over bake.

Enjoy!

My absolute favorite thing to bake as of late is cupcakes...but not just any cupcakes...I love making diet soda cupcakes! (Recipe to follow for additional entries!)
jinglesells at gmail dot com

Jingle said...

Okay...are you ready for this wicked complicated recipe?

One cake mix. (I love Pillsbury's Super Moist Devil's food cake)
One can of Diet Soda. (I'm a Diet Coke fan, but it is fun to do vanilla cake with orange soda!!!)

Mix soda and cake mix in a bowl until moistened thoroughly. Pour into paper lined muffin tin (I usually get 1 1/2 dozen) and bake for 18-20 at 350! It's that easy and they are SO stinking good!

For the holidays it is fun to add fun candies to the top to decorate them!

Here's the recipe I've been making every Christmas since I was a teen.

Russian Tea Cakes
Prep Time: 1 hour 0 min
Total Time: 1 hour 15 min
Makes: 4 dozen cookies
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
1/4 teaspoon salt
Powdered sugar
1. Heat oven to 400ºF.
2. Mix butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and the vanilla in large bowl. Stir in flour, nuts and salt until dough holds together.
3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set but not brown. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool slightly on wire rack.
5. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar; cool on wire rack. Roll in powdered sugar again.
