This holiday season one of the most popular gifts to give will be High-tech. With Television changing and new computers and phones coming out. People are upgrading to the newest, latest, and greatest techie stuff out there.
But ! before you toss out the old stuff to make room for the new gadgets and gizmo's, please do something positive for the environment! By answering the Call2Recycle to properly get rid of old rechargeable batteries.
Most of the devices purchased IE: blackberries, cell phones, PD A's, digital camera's, mp3's, and laptop computers are powered by rechargeable batteries.
These type of batteries typically will lose their charge after approx. 1000 charges.
So, instead of throwing them to the landfill or stuffing more into your junk drawer, please recycle them at participating Call2Recycle retailers across the country.
These Call2Recycle collection sites are located at a lot of your favorite major national retailers such as Best Buy, Circuit City, The Home Depot, Lowe's, RadioShack, and Target.
This program is operated by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp.- a non-profit,public service agency.
So be on the look out for the collection boxes located in stores and recycle your way to a "greener" holiday spirit.
