The Diaper Clutch - Review (another fun win from the #eden sitwarming party !!!)

From Diaper Clutch Site :

Introducing...the diaper clutch

Keep your diapers and wipes in one convenient and stylish carrying case. Do your diapers get lost at the bottom of your diaper bag or over sized purse? Is it hard to reach those wipes when your hands are less than clean?

the diaper clutch keeps your diapers neat and the disposable wipes container conveniently fits inside the pouch with an easy access window! All you have to do is open up the flap and Voila! there's your wipe!

The inner pocket has enough room to fit two to four diapers and a disposable changing pad. There is even enough room for a small bottle of hand sanitizer for quick and easy clean-up!

Choose from many stylish fabrics...suitable for both boys and girls. Who says you have to sacrifice style for convenience?

Grab it and go for that quick outing or toss it in your diaper bag or oversized purse.

All diaper clutches are handmade, therefore, availability and shipping times may vary.

Another fabulous Win I recently have gotten is this Diaper Clutch. It is so pretty,

and I love the fabric. I picked the Paisley/Lime green one.

It is such a handy item to have for your purse. It definitely makes life with a baby a bit easier to handle. And If you are to purchase one, they run about $19.99, so that is a great price considering how fashionable they are, and all they help.

When your baby is 7 months like mine and squirming all around the changing table, and when your out and the changing tables have tons of germs and your trying to hold the baby, prevent germs, and get to the diaper and wipes, well, lets just say, this item is a "God Sent" at that time !!!

I am very happy to have won such a nifty little prize. I won it from the Family of Eden site warming party. Thank you so much Cynthia (Owner and Designer of the Diaper Clutch).

If you would like to learn more about and/or purchase one Diaper Clutch, go to their web site now :) **This would make a wonderful baby shower present.

Featured ETSY #3 - IBreak4Glass AND GIVEAWAY !!!

About The Artist:

Michelle Anderson aka Ibreak4glass formerly Michelle Cook-Dougherty.

I started off in the art world crafting when I was very young, making clothing for my Troll dolls out of scraps of fabric and paper. Then My Dad bought me my first Kodak 110 camera. I took pictures of every thing and everyone. I didn't really appreciate the eye of the camera until my oldest of 5 sons was born.

I took a photography class at a local high school at night. I realized I had a gift. A friend of mine asked me to do some photo's of her son in black and white and hand color them. I had no idea how to do that. So in my online research I bumped into Peggy Bradbury of St. Louis. She was trying to write and article for shutterbug Magazine on the subject of Hand coloring and asked me to collaborate with her.

In September of 1999 under the Feature "Women In Photography" A guide to Hand coloring by Michelle Cook-Dougherty and Peggy Bradbury. It was an exciting time for me. I loved to write and now I was published.

I continued with the photography working out of my home and on location. All the while painting, crafting, scrap booking, stamping and creating. I won several online Photography contests 1st place and an honorable mention.I also won the Middle Town Times Herald Records photography contest in 2001.

On 09-11-01 My children and I loaded our Van and moved from just north of NY city back to Buffalo NY. It was a time of change and a time to put my crafting aside and raise my sons by myself. I was injured at my job working with children of various degrees of disabilities. That was in May of 2006.

Since then I started breaking glass and creating mosaics which I have to say is totally addicting. And I picked up my camera again. I do an occasional wedding and photo shoot, but mostly shoot what I love, nature, and candid shots of kids and people. I have turned my Photography into photo Art which I sell in my studio at and I also have a mosaic store on Etsy.

******UPDATE***** Ibreak4glass has JUST opened a brand NEW line AND GIVEAWAY TODAY Just go to to see it FIRST and Enter to win !!!! Good Luck (It is BEAUTIFUL)

ETSY Feature #2 - An Indie Designer - ELPY

Rebecca Jackson
is a home school graduate and Connecticut-based indie designer. Her shop is elpy [Handcrafted]. Discontented with using eBay as a venue for handmade items, She discovered and started selling leftovers from previous crafty ventures on Etsy when she was 19.

Now, three years later, her work has changed to reflect her love for shapes and colors. They are frequent themes in her jewelry, pyrography and sewn items. She's constantly coming up with new ideas, exploring new techniques and figuring out how to incorporate them into her work.

To see more at her ETSY shop, please visit her ETSY site :

I have received some of Ms. Jackson's work from her elpy handcrafted series. They are wooden magnets, one with the Alphabet and the other with numbers on it.

They are hand cut, sanded, and drawn on with her special tools, and she has also sealed them.

They are really beautiful. And me being a parent, I also like functional items, and these are perfect for helping me teach my 3 yr. old her alphabet and numbers while I am cooking in the kitchen. They are superior quality and very lovely.

The elpy designs shop has a variety of items for sale. They include : coasters, magnets, bead jewelry, knot jewelry, pin backs, and wristlets.

She is giving away similar magnets on her "Not Rachael" elpy site, so here is the link to win. Her contest is open until January 31st.
here is the link for the giveaway:

Good Luck !!!

Please visit her Etsy shop and support her by purchasing something today, she has a nice variety of items that would make wonderful gifts, and her prices are more than reasonable, especially being that this is all handmade !!

FEATURE OF THE DAY: Hannahmade Soaps - review/giveaway

Welcome to Hannahmade Soaps & Scrubs

What they sell : Handmade Soaps, Dead Sea Salts, and Scrubs

Pamper Yourself with Luxurious Goat Milk Soap, Spa Quality Salts and Sensational Scrubs. Pamper your friends too! Tell us it is a gift and we'll gift wrap it and include a personalized card for free.

Hannah is child number 5 in our family, with 2 older sisters, 2 older brothers, 3 younger sisters, and 4 younger brothers - yes, that is 12 in all! :) Hannah is our oldest daughter still at home, and after realizing how quickly the teenage years pass us by, I decided to give in to her pleas to make soap and cheese.

Hannah not only makes the soap, but she milks the goats daily, and is their primary caregiver. We also show the goats and have won many ribbons and trophies. After successfully launching the soaps locally at a summer green market, I finally decided to carve enough time out of my days (and nights) to work on establishing her business online.

More of Hannah's story can be found here:

When I received the package with the items in it, It made my whole mailbox and mail smell sooooo good, I couldn't wait to open it and see what it all was.

I got to review a bar of goats milk soap, cocoa butter scented(it is so cute, it is light yellow and in the shape of a sunflower), "ENERGY"bath salts (which were light blue little crystals), and "Warm Vanilla" Scrub (which was my favorite scent) it is sandy brown, and smells sooooooo good.

Well, I wanted to share the "experience" of trying these out with some other very special people, so I invited my mother and mother and father in law over to dinner one night. Afterwards, I promised a "spa night" WOW, was it a blast.

After eating a wonderful meal, I brought out all of these wonderful items. I first passed them all around for everyone to smell, everyone agreed that the Brown sugar scrub smelled very very nice. (My kids wanted to eat it!) Then I brought out some olive oil, which is in the directions as one thing you can use to do the scrub. I put the scrub crystals in every ones hands, then went back around with the olive oil.

My boys (ages 9 and 11) had looks of strangeness on their faces, my husband dropped his on the floor (Thank goodness for the new bissell) and everyone else thought it was neat (by the way, men and boys at a spa party, need to be taught what to do, lol)

I showed everyone how to scrub their hands and then I made them form a line at the bathroom sink. I ran warm water and rinsed off. OH MY GOSH !!! It felt sensational. The water beaded on my hands like a car in the car wash after being waxed, and my hands smelled sooooo good, and felt so soft, just like my 7 month old babies hands.

THIS PRODUCT was a hit with ALL of us. Even the men said," it felt so smoothe and nice". My 11 yr. old son didn't want to come away from the water, he said, "it is so soft and great feeling"
I just absolutely loved it, I am DEFINITELY going to buy some more. I have used top line spa products in the past and this is high quality just like those and to me has a much nicer smell.

"ENERGY" Bath Salts
How we tried this was just on our feet, as I said I am very sensitive to skin products so I was scared to do the whole bath. Instead I put it into the tub, and filled with warm water and me and my kids just stepped into the tub.

When coming out, all of our feet, of course smelled great, but also were baby soft. My 9 yr. old son while standing in the tub said, "mom I feel so rich!", and My 11 yr. old son replied, "well Charlie we are at the spa", lol I was cracking up, but it did feel like that, it felt really relaxing on my feet and nice. If you like bath salts you will like these. They are very pretty and smell beautifully.

All NATURAL Cocoa Butter Soap
When I was asked what scents I wanted to try I told them that I was sensitive and to just send me whatever they thought would be good. Well, in my shower yesterday, I tried this Natural Cocoa Butter soap, It smells fresh and I love the sunflower shape, would be an excellent gift. But what I mainly was concerned was again my sensitivity.

Well, let me tell you, It has been a long time since I have felt "pretty" being able to use "pretty soaps and washes". I usually have to use the plain old unscented stuff and as a woman I am always jealous because I can't use the nicer scents that I wish I could buy, they just break me all out in a rash and make me miserable.

But this soap is totally different. I don't know if it is because of the goats milk, or what, but I am able to use it no problem and what I like most is that I feel special now. So this is the way to go, if your feeling like me. I know I will be buying more of this, and I am not going to share !!!

A HUGE thank you to Hannahmadesoaps for letting me try these wonderful products and I am wishing you great success in your new business. I hope a lot of my readers will be supporting you buy making a purchase, as I know they will not be disappointed!

The cost for these products range, but for the most part they are a very reasonable $5.00 and believe me they are spa quality so you are getting a wonderful deal !!! And right now they are offering my readers this REALLY WONDERFUL DEAL !!

The first 5 people who place an order (any amount) will receive 2 sample bars with their choice of scents. Orders of $25 or more will receive their choice of bath salts, or sugar scrub free.
Make Sure when you order to email them to let them know you found this wonderful offer on their feature - review from my blog (Plussizemommy).

"What is this ETSY ? all about ?"

A Few months ago when I was introduced to the world of blogging and Twitter, I kept hearing people talking about ETSY. I was like ummm, what the heck is that ? I had never heard of it before. So, I threw out the question on Twitter to get the answer.

I was told that it is like an "ebay" but for all things handmade, and that people have shops on there. Well, that just blew my mind away !! I was so excited to go to the site and find out more info. on it.

I journeyed over to the ETSY site and I was amazed. There is everything from Artwork - woodworking and everything in between. There is jewelry, soaps, prints, photography, candles, pottery, books, purses, scrap booking items, office supplies, pressed flowers, iron ons, glass work, bead work, vintage, Gothic, and baby dolls,.......geez, you can find anything in this online craft/handmade marketplace !!!

One of neat things, to me was that there are things from all around the world. You can find gifts you cannot get anywhere else, one of a kind. Gifts for the hard to buy person.

Well, I know that I am not the most techy person and I certainly do not know everything there is to know about the Internet and different sites, but I am positive that I am NOT the only one in the world that has never heard of ETSY before now.

SO, thus the reason I am bringing this blog your way today. You see, ETSY Shops and people who make handmade items, are on their own pretty much. They ARE the Little guys, The SMALL BUSINESS owners that we need to support in this country. So I wanted to do my part by helping them out. I want to get the word out about ETSY and make it as well know as Ebay.

I am positive that if you take the time to go over to the ETSY site and browse around, you are sure to be amazed at all what is there and offered. Please, if everyone tells a couple of friends about this amazing site we can all get the word out and help these small business owners get a few new customers and sales.

Also, if you make handmade items, you can sell on the ETSY site too.

PLEASE go to the ETSY site TODAY and then come back and let me know what you think :)
